Agreement
By using DraftShelf, you agree to these terms. DraftShelf is an independently operated, small-scale resume-building tool, not a company - if anything here doesn't make sense for your situation, email ariadaikalam1234@gmail.com and we'll sort it out directly.
The service
DraftShelf lets you maintain a library of resume content (work history, education, skills, projects, and more) and build tailored, exportable resume "versions" from it, with optional cloud sync, PDF/DOCX export, an optional one-way backup to a GitHub repository you control, and optional access for an AI assistant (see "AI assistant access" below).
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for anything that happens through your account.
- Provide a real, working email address. It's how we reach you about your account (confirmation, password reset, security notices) and how you'd request deletion of your data.
Your content
Everything you enter into DraftShelf - your resume content, job descriptions, cover letters - remains yours. We claim no ownership over it. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for only entering personal information (like a reference's contact details) that you have the right to include.
Acceptable use
Don't use DraftShelf to break the law, attempt to bypass its security or access controls, or abuse its shared infrastructure (for example, scripting excessive requests against the PDF export or email systems). We reserve the right to suspend accounts that do.
Optional third-party integrations
Signing in with Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, and backing up to GitHub, are both entirely optional and under your control - you choose whether to connect them and can disconnect at any time. We aren't responsible for the availability or behavior of those third-party services themselves.
AI assistant access
You can optionally connect an AI assistant (Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop, claude.ai, or ChatGPT) so it can read and edit your Library and Versions on your behalf, in conversation. This is entirely opt-in, and you can revoke it at any time from Settings → Connected Apps. You're responsible for reviewing what an assistant does with the access you grant it, the same way you're responsible for anything else that happens through your account. We aren't responsible for the availability or behavior of the third-party AI assistant itself.
No warranty
DraftShelf is provided "as is," on a best-effort basis, as a small personal-scale project - not a commercial product with guaranteed uptime or support response times. We make a genuine effort to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DraftShelf isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of data. We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and backed up, but you can export a full copy of your own data at any time (Dashboard → "Export JSON") and we'd recommend doing so periodically, the same way you would with any online tool holding something important to you.
Termination
You can stop using DraftShelf at any time and request your data be deleted by emailing ariadaikalam1234@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
